It’s arguably a boy’s first ‘formal’ event, so what better occasion to ensure he is beautifully turned out than his First Holy Communion? At Louis Copeland & Sons, we offer a made-to-measure service on boys’ suits to ensure that your son will have a perfectly fitting outfit that will do him – and the occasion – proud.

The process – which is priced from €850 for a two-piece suit – is extremely simple and takes between eight to ten weeks from start to finish.

Typically, the parent or parents will bring in a photo of a particular suit or style of suit that they would like to recreate (if not, we will discuss and suggest various suitable options). We then talk through the various details (fabric, cut, single- or double-breasted, number of buttons, etc.) to personalise the outfit to individual taste.

Next up is the fitting process. Measurements are taken approximately eight to ten weeks before the day. A first fitting of the made-to-measure suit takes place two weeks later to ensure the fit is perfect and, if required, make any adjustments.

We aim to have the finished garment completed one week to ten days before the day to allow for any final alterations. This is usually not necessary but we like to cover any eventualities.

While we do not carry shirts or footwear for children, all of our men’s ties can be resized for a boy’s fit.
